Getting greener all the time

It is a widely acknowledged fact that we should all be taking notice of the effect we have on our planet. At Ginsters, we feel strongly about the environment and do everything we can to reduce our impact and help protect our beautiful surroundings. We’ve been encouraging our staff and the local communities to get involved and promote a cut-down on waste and a boost in recycling!

Over a five year period, we achieved some great goals which include:

• A 47% reduction in food waste per tonne of product
• A 50% reduction in water used for cleaning purposes
• A 30% reduction in cardboard waste per tonne of product
• A 27% reduction in waste to landfill per tonne of product

In addition to this, our policy of sourcing fresh local ingredients has saved an estimated 240,000 food miles per year!
