Terms and Conditions

  1. This Promotion is only open to legal residents of Great Britain aged 18 years or over, excluding employees of the Promoter, their families, agents or anyone else professionally connected with this Promotion.
  2. Promotion Period:
    This Promotion runs across two Bank Holidays:
    00:01 BST Friday 29th April 2023 – 11.59 BST on Monday 1st May 2023
    00:001 BST Friday 26th May 2023 – 11:59 BST on Monday 29th May 2023
  3. To Take Part:
    To enter the Promotion for each holiday, visit www.ginsters.co.uk/bakeholiday

    1. Enter full name, email address and telephone number during the relevant Promotion Period, entrants need to click on the link to register their details and enter the Promotion.
    2. On Tuesday 2nd May 2023, nine (9) people (x5 for x1 location, x4 for x1 location) will be selected at random by an independent third party and will have the opportunity to purchase a Bake Holiday (accommodation for x2 nights) for the price of £1.50 inclusive of VAT.
    3. On Tuesday 30th May 2023, nine (9) people (x5 for x1 location, x4 for x1 location) will be selected at random by an independent third party and will have the opportunity to purchase a Bake Holiday (accommodation for x2 nights) for the price of £1.50 inclusive of VAT.
    4. If you have been successful in securing the opportunity to purchase a Bake Holiday to one of our destinations, you will be:
      1. Contacted by a member of the Ginsters team at Splendid Communications within 3 working days of selection using the email address provided on entry, and asked to confirm that you are aged 18 or over. You will need to respond confirming this information within 5 working days of initial contact. If you do not respond within 5 working days, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify you as a winner and award the prize to a reserve selected in the same manner.
      2. Contacted by a member of the Ginsters team at Splendid Communications (only entrants that have completed the step above will be contacted) within 5 working days of selection using the email address provided to organise payment through PayPal.
      3. The Ginsters team at Splendid Communications will send up to three (3) chaser emails to the 18 winners using the email address provided and may contact them over the phone to ensure they purchase their holiday for £1.50.
      4. Once payment has been made, within five (5) working days Travellers will be put in contact with a booking agent for the prize location where they will be able to book their Bake Holiday.
      5. Travellers will receive holiday confirmations over email.
    5. Entrants who were not selected will be notified via email.
  4. The Offer:
    1. 4 x Holidays to Portmeirion for up to four (4) persons for two (2) nights at selected accommodations.
    2. 5 x Holidays to Brighton for up to four (4) persons for two (2) nights at selected accommodations.
    3. 4 x Holidays to London for up to four (4) persons for two (2) nights at selected accommodations.
    4. 5 x Holidays to Edinburgh for up to four (4) persons for two (2) nights at selected accommodations.
  5. Portmeirion holiday Details and Conditions:
    Holiday is provided by Ginsters in partnership with a local accommodation provider and includes:

    1. 4 x Holidays to Portmeirion for up to four (4) persons for two (2) nights at selected accommodations.
    2. Travel is not included and will need to be organised and paid for by the Traveller.
    3. Overnight stay booking is for x1 rental accommodation for 2x nights and sleeps up to x4 people.
    4. Availability and bookable dates are subject to change and are at the discretion of the third-party booking partner at each location.
    5. Holiday accommodation must be booked one (1) month in advance and by 20th December 2023.
    6. Travel must be completed by 30th January 2024.
    7. Travel not permitted during Christmas/New Year (20 December 2023 – 5 January 2024).
    8. All taxes & charges associated with the accommodation booking.
    9. No other expenses or travel arrangements (incidental or otherwise) are included in this holiday.
    10. Dates subject to availability and change at the time of booking.
    11. Travelers are responsible for their own sustenance and entertainment while at the destination.
    12. There is no cash alternative and when the Bake Holiday has been redeemed it cannot be used again.
  6. Brighton holiday Details and Conditions:
    Holiday is provided by Ginsters in partnership with a local accommodation provider and includes:

    1. 5 x Holidays to Brighton for up to four (4) persons for two (2) nights at selected accommodations.
    2. Travel is not included and will need to be organised and paid for by the Traveller.
    3. Overnight stay booking is for x1 rental accommodation for 2x nights and sleeps up to x4 people.
    4. Availability and bookable dates are subject to change and are at the discretion of the third-party booking partner at each location.
    5. Holiday accommodation must be booked one (1) month in advance and by 20th December 2023.
    6. Travel must be completed by 30th January 2024.
    7. Travel not permitted during Christmas/New Year (20 December 2023 – 5 January 2024).
    8. All taxes & charges associated with the accommodation booking.
    9. No other expenses or travel arrangements (incidental or otherwise) are included in this holiday.

  7. London holiday Details and Conditions:
    Holiday is provided by Ginsters in partnership with a local accommodation provider and includes:

    1. 5 x Holidays to London for up to four (4) persons for two (2) nights at selected accommodations.
    2. Travel is not included and will need to be organised and paid for by the Traveller.
    3. Overnight stay booking is for x1 rental accommodation for 2x nights and sleeps up to x4 people.
    4. Availability and bookable dates are subject to change and are at the discretion of the third-party booking partner at each location.
    5. Holiday accommodation must be booked one (1) month in advance and by 20th December 2023.
    6. Travel must be completed by 30th January 2024.

  8. Edinburgh holiday Details and Conditions:
    Holiday is provided by Ginsters in partnership with a local accommodation provider and includes:

    1. 4 x Holidays to Edinburgh for up to four (4) persons for two (2) nights at selected accommodations.
    2. Travel is not included and will need to be organised and paid for by the Traveller.
    3. Overnight stay booking is for x1 rental accommodation for 2x nights and sleeps up to x4 people.
    4. Availability and bookable dates are subject to change and are at the discretion of the third-party booking partner at each location.
    5. Holiday accommodation must be booked one (1) month in advance and by 20th December 2023.

  9. General Details and Conditions:
    1. Holidays are subject to availability.
    2. All elements of the package must be taken as part of the same trip.
    3. The Traveller must abide by and is subject to the holiday accommodation rules and regulations.
    4. Once holidays have been issued, they are only valid for, dates and times booked. No alternatives are available, changes to the dates once confirmed are not permitted.
    5. Travel extras are not included in the price (these include food and drinks not included in the booking, first class travel, taxi to the station).
    6. If a holiday is cancelled by the Traveller, no alternative holiday will be issued and for the avoidance of doubt, no compensation and/or refund will be provided.
    7. For the avoidance of doubt, the Offer does not include: transfers from the Travellers’ homes or hotel to the nearest train stations, food and beverages, souvenirs, gratuities, car parking charges, excursions and attractions or any other costs of a personal nature (including spending money) that are not explicitly set out in these Terms and Conditions and neither the Promoter nor any provider of any part of the ticket will be responsible for any such costs.
    8. Travel restrictions may apply over peak seasons such as but not limited to Easter, Bank Holidays, Christmas and New Year.
    9. Travelers are responsible for the behaviour of themselves and their party whilst taking the holiday. The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to exclude the Traveller (and their party) from participation in the travel ticket if any party fails to comply with the directions of the accommodation company or any companies associated with the holiday or if the Traveller (and their party) acts in a manner that is dangerous to themselves or to the public or is anti-social in any manner or which causes a disturbance or nuisance to others.
    10. The Promoter will not be liable or responsible for any loss or damage suffered by the Traveller (and their party) should they not be able to redeem a Bake Holiday as a result of any Government travel warning or advisory applicable to the destination country and/or countries or for any other failure on their part to travel. In particular, the Promoter shall have no obligation to substitute any alternative holiday, cash equivalent or other compensation where the Traveller fails to redeem a holiday travel ticket for any reason.
    11. No fees shall be payable to the Traveller in relation to their entry in any Promotion. Obtaining time off work and/or study or related activities to participate in a Promotion and/or use the ticket. All related costs/time off will be at the sole and absolute responsibility of each entrant or person purchasing a holiday.
    12. The Traveller is responsible for obtaining any insurance which may be required or prudent in relation to their holiday. The Promoter makes no representation or warranty in relation to tickets provided and to the fullest extent permitted by law shall have no liability to you in relation to any travel ticket, its fitness for purposes, merchantability or otherwise.
    13. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. The Promoter may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose and a holiday may be withheld unless and until the Promoter is satisfied with the verification.
    14. Holidays are non-transferable, non-refundable and there is no cash alternative.
    15. In the event that any provision of these Terms and Conditions or any Specific Terms are held to be illegal, invalid, void or otherwise unenforceable, it shall be severed from the remaining provisions which shall continue in full force and effect.
    16. If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any written directions given under applicable law) to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion.
    17. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these Terms and Conditions, such as an alteration or cancellation of a train, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations.
    18. The Promoter cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss or injury suffered by any entrant entering the Promotion or as a result of accepting or participating in any travel. Nothing shall exclude the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
    19. By entering this Promotion, all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
    20. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
    21. Any personal information provided by the entrants will be used by the Promoter and/or its agents for the purpose of conducting this Promotion. The Promoter may disclose entrants’ personal information to its contractors and agents to assist in conducting this Promotion or communicating with entrants.
    22. The Promoter may also wish to publish publicly the name and county of the winners.
      1. Entrants will be contacted to provide permission / consent to the publishing of their name and county.
    23. All personal information shall be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy available at https://www.ginsters.co.uk/policies/
    24. This Promotion is governed by English Law and participants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
    25. Money collected from purchases of the Bake Holidays will be donated to Ginsters’ partner charity, Project 35.
      1. Ginsters has formed a long-term partnership with Plymouth Argyle Football Club and the Argyle Community Trust to launch ‘Project 35’ – a programme aimed at reducing poverty in the South West region with Ginsters pledging to feed 100k local families and initiate a variety of community-based projects.

Traveller: Entrants who are successful in securing the opportunity to purchase one of the 18 holidays.
